Itacoatiaras of Ingá River
Itacoatiaras of Ingá River is part of the Tentative list of Brazil in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
The Itacoatiaras of Ingá River are groups of rock drawings. Primarily it consists of a vertical wall (Ingá Stone) that’s is 46 meters long by 3.8 meters high. Several figures are carved in low relief in this set, suggesting the representation of animals, fruits, and human constellations like Orion and Milky Way. They date back to before 10,000 BC. It also shows the spread of human population across South America.
